Funktion-One Vero VX at the 2023 Glastonbury Festival

Tino writes, "Over four days, an impressive Funktion-One Vero VX loudspeaker system, supplied at the Glade Area by Audio Plus, connected a big variety of live and DJ acts with an excited crowd. The main stereo hangs consisted of seven VX90 vertically arrayable loudspeakers on each side, with another 16 VX90 in outfill and delay applications. The main bass array, a vertical cardioid arrangement of 16 F124 horn-loaded 24" subwoofers, reached almost six meters in height and evenly provided very controlled and musical bass down to the lowest notes. The entire system, including additional Res 4 and F221 as fills and delays, was driven by 17 XTA Electronics DPA100 DSP amplifiers with two SSL L550 Plus mixing desks at the front end. It is worth pointing out that, especially for the main system being in an acoustically challenging situation in a tent, the sonic result exceeded our expectations in many ways."
